A Humid Tea!

Dear Friends,

It's been a couple of stormy days here in Florida. There is a tropical storm out in the gulf that has just been spinning around and around. We've had lots of rain and wind. It's been dreary. We are not use to this as Florida is known as the "sunshine state." The rain has been a blessing in some areas, but it is so humid! Below is the "foo-foo" room.

Tonight I went in there and the humidity had to be 100% or more! The room is not under a/c.
I quickly shut the door. Here are pics I took a week ago when it was pleasant to be in there.

This is a front view of the bronze color tea set. The teacup was a gift to me. It's one of my favorites.
I love this darling little tea book called an "Afternoon Tea".
Here's a close up of the tea set. I bought this at a thrift store for $14.00. I thought it was a good deal.
Here's a view looking towards my little sitting area. I should have cropped the picture. I found the curtains at the same thrift store and have some dried roses hanging upside down. I had to save them! They were pink!.

I'm joining Marty at Table Top Tuesday and Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday.

I hope you have a wonderful week! I hoping for a drier one!

Hugs,

  1. I have been watching the news reporting on the storms brewing around Florida. I hope you fare well. Tea is always a pleasant respite though, isn't it?

I especially like the teacup, I would enjoy sipping tea from it.

I had to laugh at your description of the room as "foo-foo". :)

  4. Hi LaDonna,
What a sweet tea for one! Your wicker tea table and chairs are just perfect for teatime. What a great buy on the tea set, I don't think I've ever seen a bronze set before. Friends are so wonderful and you have a great one to give you that beautiful teacup! Hope you are now having your usual sunny weather. Have a good evening.
