Pastor's wife Appreciation Day

Greeting Friends,

The church that my husband is pastor of remembered us for Pastor Appreciation Day.
Many churches do this yearly in the fall.

The board presented my husband with a monetary gift and the women of the church presented me this tray filled with wonderful treasures.

I'm highlighting one of the teacups and teapot. It was so sweet and thoughtful for the congregation to remember me!

They know me well... :) I'm so blessed by their love and kindness. It is a pleasure to work with this wonderful group of people going on 15 years! We love them very much and serving together in our church and community is such a blessing.

I  hope you enjoy seeing my special gifts!

My appreciation gift! Isn't it lovely?

The vase and heart shaped doilie were given to me

The vintage needle point was mine purchased at a thrift store in Va.

Loving the teapot!  It reminds me of Royal Dalton Country Roses

The back of the tea cup says, Bavaria - Jaeger & Co. Germany

Small plate that came with it.  I'm guessing desert plate?

Musical Pink Tea Set

Hi Pink Friends!

This week I'm highlighting a sweet Tea set my friend Cindy gave me recently.

She knows I'm crazy about things like this and she's always on the lookout!

I hope you are having a good week enjoying time with friends and family.

We are praying for those that were affected by that storm this week!

Living in Florida we have had a taste of what they are going thru. Our hearts go out to those that have loss so much.

I'm joining:

This chair is the place my cat Ebony sleeps at during the day.  The only problem is he is black and sheds
like crazy!  LOL

Cute little notes my sister in law gave me!
I love shopping thrift stores for used books.  Enjoying this one right now!

My sweet friend Cindy gave this miniature tea set to me.  Here's a close up of one of the cups.
View of the tea set.
Pink flowers I just added!  :)
Love the pitcher.  You can wind it up and it plays a sweet song to dance to just
like the couple on the front.

Pink Fall Table for Two

Hi Friends,

It's that time of year!  Fall is one of my favorite seasons.  The temps have finally cooled down to where I don't feel like every time I go outside someone threw a hot/wet blanket over me!  Humidity and heat have been grueling this summer.

It's my pleasure to join this week:

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.
Marty at Tabletop Tuesday.
Sandi at Rose Chintz for Teatime Tuesday & Home.

Have a great week and I hope and pray that the "Frankenstorm" doesn't cause havoc for those in the Northeast!

Fall, a time to give thanks!

A favorite book of mine.  The color looks like the fall season.

Found this gold teapot a few months ago at GW.

My daughter sent this pic to me from Virginia.  I miss seeing fall in Florida.

A little wreath I made simply with ribbon and fall leaves.  Found ribbon at HL.

Last but not least, my favorite pic showing a little of the curtains, wicker, beadboard and gold runner with napkin/ring.

Pink Breakfast with Precious!

Every morning our puppy, Precious and I enjoy breakfast in my pink foo-foo room.  I put a pink bow on her to dress her up a bit today.

This is what I eat most every morning.  I share my turkey bacon and a bit of egg mixed in with her dog food.

I love the heel of the bread toasted with butter and orange marmalade jelly!

Pink napkin of course!

Fruit cup
Turkey bacon crisp!

Love my eggs fixed anyway but they must be well done!  I don't do runny eggs or yolks.
So that is my pink breakfast!  Now, I'm hungry again!  LOL

This week I'm joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday.

She's always looking for seconds ~ but we have to watch her girlish figure!   :)

Pink from the past

Hi Friends,

It's Pink Saturday and I've been under the weather so I decided to highlight a few of my favorite pink things from past post.

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this fall season.   I love seeing all the pink and white pumpkins, but I stick with the traditional orange.  So, you won't find any on this post.

One of my special teacups given to me a year ago.  I think of the holidays when looking at this.  It's so rich in color and I love the flowers inside the teacup.
This bouquet was so beautiful and I appreciated the friends that honored me with it.
Another special teacup given to me a little over a year ago.
This is a Christmas ornament that was given to me by a precious woman that made an impact in my life.  She has been gone for a long time now.  She'll always stay in my heart and never forgotten.

This is one of my favorite China patterns it's called Old Country Roses. I've always admired it and hope to have it one day!

So, there you have it!  I hope you enjoyed a few of my past pinks.

It's my pleasure to join:

Fall?

Hi Friends,

Hope this post finds you well and enjoying the cooler temps.

According to the calendar....Fall has arrived. We're beginning to see some relief in SW Florida.

I've noticed that the temps have cooled down a bit around the country. It has been a long hot summer. A couple of weekends ago I did some decorating and have tweaked it a bit.

We had a HL open up in our town and trust me...that is a BIG thing!  I walked in the door and was overwhelmed to say the least!

I took a pic of this tree!  So, my first blog post of the Fall season welcomes this tree.  This really doesn't do it justice but you get the idea.

This is my tablescape for the Fall season.  The tablecloth and dishware is Better Homes and Garden that I purchased a few years ago.  I've never really used them until now.

The amber globets were gifted to me. I know there vintage as well as the S&P shakers. You can see one of them to the left.

I just adore the Sunflower napkin rings I purchased at the HL last weekend at 40% off.  :)

The mums were purchased years ago.  I just dressed them up a bit with new ribbon.

Here's a close up of the Sunflower decorative plates bought at Cracker Barrel a few years ago.

I've done more fall decorating around the house and hope to show that to you soon!
