A Humid Tea!

Dear Friends,

It's been a couple of stormy days here in Florida. There is a tropical storm out in the gulf that has just been spinning around and around. We've had lots of rain and wind. It's been dreary. We are not use to this as Florida is known as the "sunshine state." The rain has been a blessing in some areas, but it is so humid! Below is the "foo-foo" room.

Tonight I went in there and the humidity had to be 100% or more! The room is not under a/c.
I quickly shut the door. Here are pics I took a week ago when it was pleasant to be in there.

This is a front view of the bronze color tea set. The teacup was a gift to me. It's one of my favorites.
I love this darling little tea book called an "Afternoon Tea".
Here's a close up of the tea set. I bought this at a thrift store for $14.00. I thought it was a good deal.
Here's a view looking towards my little sitting area. I should have cropped the picture. I found the curtains at the same thrift store and have some dried roses hanging upside down. I had to save them! They were pink!.

I'm joining Marty at Table Top Tuesday and Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday.

I hope you have a wonderful week! I hoping for a drier one!

  1. I have been watching the news reporting on the storms brewing around Florida. I hope you fare well. Tea is always a pleasant respite though, isn't it?

I especially like the teacup, I would enjoy sipping tea from it.

I had to laugh at your description of the room as "foo-foo". :)

  2. Hi Donna,
Wow... your silverwares are absolutely elegant. It's so delicate and so feminine. Love it so much.

    Happy TTT,

  3. Hello LaDonna,
Your tea set is gorgeous and the teacup is beautiful! They all look so pretty together on the little tea table. Such a pretty look. Thank you for sharing with us at Tea Time and have a delightful day.

  4. Hi LaDonna,
What a sweet tea for one! Your wicker tea table and chairs are just perfect for teatime. What a great buy on the tea set, I don't think I've ever seen a bronze set before. Friends are so wonderful and you have a great one to give you that beautiful teacup! Hope you are now having your usual sunny weather. Have a good evening.

  5. Love the room, hope your humidity subsides soon allowing you to re-enter such a fabulous space.

  6. Hi, LaDonna. Thanks for visiting me and commenting on my blue and yellow Cannes tablescape. I'll be anxious to see what you do when you get some blue and yellow. Judging from this recent post, it'll be lovely. What a sweet setting, and sweet room you've created! I'm your newest follower; I hope you'll follow back! I especially like to follow new bloggers to help them get started, plus we LOVE Florida, so that helps me to stay connected. :) ~Zuni

Thank you for your sweet comments! I love hearing from you!

Feeling like Aqua

Hi Everyone! This spring season I've noticed everywhere I go the stores are decorating with teal, aqua and pretty greens.  March mark...
