If you listen to the news it can be very disturbing. This morning getting ready for church we had FOX news on and heard they are predicting our country will be going into a depression. We've heard and read about this in the past and never thought it would be possible or happen again in the United States.
No matter what happens as a child of the king our heavenly Father has promised He would never leave us nor forsake us or that His seed would be begging for bread. We have to trust that He is going to see us through and take care of our situation.
I spoke with a lady at our church today and she said she had to let go of her rental property because she couldn't keep renters to pay the mortgage and didn't have the finances. She is a widow and lost her husband's income when he passed away last year. She was quick to say, thank the Lord I still have a home and He is taking care of me.
We've all been guilty of living above our means and buying with plastic those things we thought we had to have and now can't even remember what we bought. If we are tithers we can claim His promises and His word to meet our needs... not our wants.
Regardless of what we're facing we need to have a thankful heart, not for what we don't have, but for what we do have. We all have so much! So this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving pause and give Him thanks for the many blessings that He's given to all of us, and trust that He will see us through those tough times.
