Bird's & Tablescapes

Greetings Ladies,

There are two tablescapes that I'm highlighting this week.  One in the entry way of my living room and the other in my special room (foo-foo) I call it.

The book I'm quoting from is in display in my special room.  I turned to today's entry and it's so appropriate I thought.  Hope you enjoy it!

From:  Soul Retreats for Women
Beauty in the Ordinary, pg. 92-93, quoting only a portion.

"See the beauty in the ordinary.  Slow down and breathe the fragrance of the ordinary, the everyday things that sit along life's way.  Remind yourself often to stop and smell the flowers."

"As you enjoy the ordinary, songs will flow from your heart. As you delight in a rose growing in your neighbor's garden or a bird warbling on the telephone wire, you will take delight in observing the extraordinary ordinary."

He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  Ecclesiates 3:11

Entry way tablescape

It's hard to see, but the basket looks like a bird nest.  It was a gift!  Love it!

This darling teapot was a gift too.  It's called Spring Social.  Love the bird on top!

Love this little white bird.  He's been in many of my tablescapes.

Purple foo foo room tablescape.

Another picture.  I like the wire teacup too.

This is a cute teacup.  Can't really drink out of it.  It's called Napco.

Like the greenery with the purple flowers.

"God can paint rich hues on the misty memories of my past.  He can shine a guiding ray on my choices for the future.  But God's love reigns best when he, in nearness, holds this very moment in his hand. "  Charlotte Adelsperger
It's my pleasure to join this week:

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life Table Top Tuesday.
Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage Tea Time Tuesday.

I hope you'll take a few minutes and take delight in the ordinary because it truly is extraordinary!

  6. Hi LaDonna...

Ohhh...this sounds like a wonderful book, my friend! Thank you for sharing a few excerpts with us! I love the verse in Ecclesiastes that you shared as well! Truly...God HAS made everything beautiful in its own time! I do think it's so important to just slow down and take some time to meditate and pray each look around at all the beautiful things that God has graced us with! He certainly has blessed you, my friend! You have a beautiful home and I enjoyed getting a peek at a couple of your pretty vignettes! I love the teapot with the little bird handle! Ohhh...and that little cup with the violets may be small but it's a beauty! Thank you for sharing God's Word with us well as your beautiful home!

I hope you're having a marvelous Monday, dear friend!
