There are two tablescapes that I'm highlighting this week. One in the entry way of my living room and the other in my special room (foo-foo) I call it.
The book I'm quoting from is in display in my special room. I turned to today's entry and it's so appropriate I thought. Hope you enjoy it!
From: Soul Retreats for Women
Beauty in the Ordinary, pg. 92-93, quoting only a portion.
"See the beauty in the ordinary. Slow down and breathe the fragrance of the ordinary, the everyday things that sit along life's way. Remind yourself often to stop and smell the flowers."
"As you enjoy the ordinary, songs will flow from your heart. As you delight in a rose growing in your neighbor's garden or a bird warbling on the telephone wire, you will take delight in observing the extraordinary ordinary."
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiates 3:11

It's hard to see, but the basket looks like a bird nest. It was a gift! Love it! |
This darling teapot was a gift too. It's called Spring Social. Love the bird on top! |
Love this little white bird. He's been in many of my tablescapes. |
Purple foo foo room tablescape. |
Another picture. I like the wire teacup too. |
This is a cute teacup. Can't really drink out of it. It's called Napco. |

I hope you'll take a few minutes and take delight in the ordinary because it truly is extraordinary!
