Dear Friends,
It's been a couple of weeks since I posted. Mr. Wonderful and I were on va-ca in the mountains. The weather was heavenly!
There was low humidity and cooler temp's. 50's in the mornings and 80's for highs. I relaxed on the porch and read books and magazines while enjoying soft breezes and sunshine.
I sat until it got dark and watched the fireflies light up the field next to the porch.
My mother- in- law is a great cook and she made those comfort foods we all love to eat with fresh vegetables from the garden and the best tomatoes ever! I really miss good tomatoes!
My uncle grows a wonderful garden and he shared them with us - tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers.
We had sweet corn on the cob, fried potatoe cakes, and corn fritters with pinto beans! Yum, yum! I've probably gained weight while being away! :-(
We were driving out in the country and I spotted this pink child's playhouse. It is in sad shape, but PINK! Inside the walls had been sponge painted pink and it had green outdoor carpet. It probably was adorable at one time. The windows are broken out and it needs TLC.
This is the side entrance with a door knocker. How cute! I like the little heart at the peak of the roof.
Mr. Wonderful knew I was looking for more pink and he took a picture of this Crepe Myrtle for me.
We had a few of these when I was growing up in Florida.
It's my pleasure to join Beverly for Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound this week!

I didn't have many pictures to share this time, but maybe made you hungry! LOL!
