Playing my Way! Table Top Tuesday and Tea Time!

Greetings Ladies,

Last week I showed you pictures of our trip to the Trinkle Mansion in Virginia.  When we got back home I was so inspired to set up a table with my things.  So, these pictures are the inspiration from that.  I hope you take a few minutes and check out my tablescape.

Here's an overall view of the tablescape!
A gift from precious friends!  Duchess Fine bone china teapot

Another view with candlelight.

Love this book with my mom's gloves and a special teacup from my MIL she brought back with her while in Germany years ago.

This may be a repeat but love the Duchess tea cup on my Southington China trimmed in gold with gold spoon.

Tabletop Tuesday #4 at the Trinkle Mansion

Greetings Ladies!

I've been wanting to show you where my hubby and I stayed on Vacation in Virginia the early part of June this year.

The weather was perfect! Cool temps and low humidity. How I long for that now!

I encourage you to stay there even for one night if you are driving up I-77 or I-81. It's a beautiful Bed & Breakfast and the owners are wonderful people that we had the pleasure of getting to know, Bernie & Patti.

Hope you enjoy the lovely pics of the tabletops and check out this historical home.  Click here.

You never knew who you were going to eat breakfast with!  Interesting though...

Time Away for fun and play!

Greetings friends,

My hubby and I took some time last week and went to the beach for a few days for rest and relaxation, so I didn't blog. I have to tell you that while we were away... I found a local thrift store and GW. Have some nice treasures to share with you!

I'm highlighting white's & pink's in this week's entry. Hope you enjoy them.

This week I'll be joining:

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday!

I'm so excited about this! Found these four plates at the beach thrift store for $8.00 what a deal! I didn't want to pay that much for them, infact I left them the first day, but when I got on line and saw how much replacements are...I realized what a bargain I'd found! I told my husband we HAD to go back there the next day! Yes!

Here's the backside of the plate. These were made in Portugal and are called Ingrid pink. The detailing is gorgeous! My pic's don't do them justice.

Here's another close up of the plate! This is the dinner plate too! If you click on Pink Ingrid there is a link to price replacements.

This is a view of a simple tablescape this week. I'll have to unload it for dinner tonight! :-(

A freebie from my eldest daughter...cute little ceramic trinket box.

Another great deal on my GW trip while on vacation. White creamer and sugar for .99 cents each! These are Johnson Bros made in England. I've not looked these up, but it's got to be a good deal too!

Now this tablecloth is really sweet. It reminds me of Shabby Chic. The detailing is really nice. Found it at a previous thrift store purchase for $1.00. Been waiting to use it and thought these plates would sit pretty on it!

Love this whimiscal Teapot! Thought it was so cute! Got it for a couple of dollars! More than what I wanted to spend at GW, but I NEED some teapots! LOL

Well, you have a lovely week! I"ll highlight more goodies next time!

Pinks for Pink Saturday! #3

Greetings Friends!

Hope you've had a nice holiday week. Our 4th got rained out, but it did finally clear enough for our town to do their annual fireworks. It was quite a display. I enjoyed it without leaving home and fighting all that traffic. That was great!

My pinks this week mostly are coming from my foo-foo room as I call it. I have a lot of pink in there so I'll have something to work with for awhile anyway! LOL!

This shell came from a special trip to the Carribean. I'll never forget how beautiful it was there. It is in my window sill in our master bathroom to enjoy.

My youngest daughter Kim was so thoughful and bought these items for me because she knows how much I enjoy things like this.

This is my favorite mug to drink out of. It's getting worn and sometimes I have to fight to use it as my girls enjoy drinking out of it too!

One of my precious friends who passed away a few years ago....gave me this little pillow. I think of her often and how she made an impact on my life. She is missed dearly.

These pillows are so comfortable and they are on my love seat in my room. I spend much time leaning on them!

I bought this journal notebook on our recent vacation and love the silver heart with the pink.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my pinks and the meanings behind them. I guess I'm so sentimental! Are you?

I'm following Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday!

Pink Saturday at the Upper Crust

Greetings Ladies,

Last weekend a couple of friends of mine went to lunch at Tearoom called the UpperCrust & Bakery Cafe.

We had tea of course with a delicious lunch. I was amazed at how many men came in with their wives!

They serve light or hearty choices depending on what you are looking for.

It's a lovely place to go to get away.

Then or course, we went to our favorite thrift store and found all kinds of goodies on sale at 51% off!

Hope you enjoyed my pinks at the Uppercrust Cafe & bakery.

Hugs,
